Team Leader

On behalf of our long time client, CID Design Group, we have been retained to conduct a search for a Team Leader. This person will provide leadership and guidance to team members in the areas of project facilitation, mentoring, client interactions and career development. Provide leadership and guidance to team members in the areas of project facilitation, mentoring, client interactions and career development.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities

  • Initiate and guide project planning in conjunction with the core team, ensuring team members meet project objectives and client’s needs. This includes participating in business development efforts, providing proposal input, resource leveling and job planning. 
  • Direct and oversee project implementation from Visioning through FFE in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, providing leadership and direction to the core team. 
  • Ensure projects meet CID’s quality standards.
  • Lead and coach team members in the areas of motivation, training needs, career development and overall guidance.  
  • Participate in resource leveling and job planning. 
  • Partner to manage the project health together with the Studio Leader and Operations Director, by continually monitoring project dashboard and scorecard. 
  • Participate in weekly status meetings, report team leader data and support firm-wide initiatives.  
  • Conduct studio weekly core team meetings. 
  • Approve team member’s time sheets and review paid time off requests with the Operations Director.   
  • Provide support in contracts and billing as needed.  
  • Participate in candidate interviews and onboarding new team members.  
  • Lead team member’s quarterly conversations and growth planning.

Qualifications + Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Construction Management.
  • 8+ years experience, minimum 5+ years of experience within multi-family, commercial or hospitality industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Physical Demands + Working Conditions

  • Frequently required to stand, sit, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. 
  • Close vision required.
  • Noise level is usually moderate.
  • Required to walk on uneven terrain (site visits). 
  • Required travel is approximately 15-20%.
