On behalf of our client, 3form, we are seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the plant floor while increasing production and revenue.  We are looking for an experienced and confident plant manager to join our team. They will manage scheduling, oversee daily operating reports, and increase production by providing leadership and carrying out strategic plans. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with an analytical mind and excellent interpersonal communication skills, and familiarity in Lean Manufacturing.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities

  • Monitor all operations and processes
  • Prepare operating reports and budgets
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety regulations
  • Ensure all compliance needs are met
  • Manage scheduling for a fully operational team
  • Oversee daily floor operations
  • Develop strategies to increase productivity and production
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, and train and develop associates in these principles
  • Oversee all shipments, incoming inventory, and storage operations
  • Optimize productive time for employees by eliminating unnecessary processes
  • Practice conflict resolution among departments and employees
  • Report and track expenses to reduce costs
  • Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met
  • Create and implement changes to improve current processes and reduce costs
  • Perform frequent inspections and audits of work processes.
  • Research and gather client and customer feedback for ways to improve products
  • Collaborate with management and line production staff to achieve most efficient and accurate quality assessments
  • Present progress reports to executive management
  • Follow and adhere to all state, federal, and company enforced safety rules and regulations

Qualifications + Requirements

  • 3-5 years previous Operations Management experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Strong management skills with ability to supervise multiple teams
  • Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • In-depth knowledge of industry and its place on the market
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities
  • Project Management Skills
  • Proficient in Root Case Analysis 
  • Experience with MRP/ERP System transactions 
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written
