On behalf of our client, Furniture Solutions, we are looking for an experienced, energetic, and goal-oriented New Business Development consultant in the Indianapolis area to add to the sales team. We are seeking an independent, self-starter who is extremely motivated. A qualified candidate will use a solution-based selling approach and will have an entrepreneurial spirit. This position is a full-time, client-facing sales role, with a focus on selling, promoting, and championing the breadth of products to end-users, commercial real estate brokers, and A&D influencers.

FS is a full-service dealership with showrooms in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Lexington, and services clients nationwide. Furniture Solutions is also an authorized 3form dealer, which is a leading manufacturer of architectural decorative resin and glass products, acoustic solutions, and markerboards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent the company to develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales products and services meeting all company sales objectives
  • Exceed consistently all sales and profit goals by generating new accounts and effectively penetrating existing accounts
  • Provide consultation to customer issues and offers desired solutions
  • Coordinate all aspects of the sales/delivery cycle including accurate order, review of vendor acknowledgments, coordination of delivery, installation, and follow-up service requirements, and collection of completed projects
  • Satisfy promptly all internal reporting requirements (sales forecasts, call logs, expense reports, etc.)
  • Participate in all required Sales Meetings (training, vendor visits, etc.)
  • Work with sales management to identify areas where skills can be improved and implement recommendations
  • Manage existing accounts professionally to ensure customer satisfaction for ongoing business relationships
  • Cold call and successfully develop new business in assigned territory


  • Office furniture sales or related industry/design experience required
  • Knowledge of Local Market
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – oral and written
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Effective organizational skills

  • Excellent selling skills
  • Ability to close an order
